akatsuki is from the naruto series.
its an organization of criminal ninjas, their missions is usual to kill other ninjas. all of the members are criminals as they have betrayed their villages. they work in teams of two when they do missions.

correction: akatsuki goal has changed but mission never was to kill other ninjas.. they are after all the juunchurhi.
